Instructions for guides and tour leaders on how to use Murals In Mind
Murals In Mind was created by the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance and a team of creatives with the aim of providing a gallery of free digital performances for people to experience art and its therapeutic benefits. Each digital performance is unique and inspired by the corresponding mural.
This outdoor gallery is great for groups of people wanting a free way to enjoy the unique culture of St Petersburg by bike or by car.
The instructions below walk you through everything you need to host a group outing and experience the gallery. We hope you enjoy Murals in Mind!
1. DOWNLOAD PIXELSTIX
Download the free PixelStix app. You’ll use this app to help you navigate to any of the 12 Murals in Mind murals. Once you are at one of the murals, you’ll also use this app to launch each performance.
Gather your group and make your way to St. Petersburg, FL.
3. VISIT ANY OF THE MURALS
Using the PixelStix Maps feature, serach for ‘MuralsInMind’ to see the location of all 12 murals in the gallery. Drive or bike to any mural in the gallery.
4. START THE PERFORMANCE
Tap the corresponding P on the PixelStix map for this Murals in Mind mural. Then tap ‘View Content’ to display various information about this mural. To start the Murals in Mind performance tap ‘Murals in Mind’. If you are in a car or large vehicle, connecting your phone to the car’s audio makes each performance even more immersive!
5. SHARE WITH #MURALSINMIND
Take photos and videos of your group enjoying the performances and share them on social media with the hashtag #MuralsInMind to help promote the project and encourage others to visit.
