In 1990, the Blue Jays and the City of Dunedin extended their partnership, overhauling Grant Field as part of the agreement to introduce the 6,100-person capacity Dunedin Stadium. With the additional investment into player development facilities, the project demonstrated a deepening of the Blue Jays roots in Dunedin.
